                         FABRIC AND FASHION

Proportion is one of the most important principle of fashion design for the petal woman because when she select garments their proportion (or size/scale of the garments, of their proportion). (or size/scale of the garments or various components of a garments or fashion accessary) should he relative to her small stature. For example, tea-length, full skirt would have so much volume that it would be over helming on a pettle woman.

The  operator develops the embroidery manually, using the machine’s setting for running stich and fancier built-in stiches. In this way, the stiches from an image onto a piece fabric.
An embroiderer can produce a filled in effect by sewing many parallel row of straight. A machine’s zigzag stich can create thicker lines with a design or be used to create a border. Many quilters and fabric articts use process called thread drawing (or thread painting) to create embellishment on their project or to create textile art.
Wave fabrics are made up of a weft-the yarn going across the width of the fabric and a wrap the yarn going down the length of  the 100m the yarns are inter-locked together.
The slide of the fabric where the wefts are double-backed to form a non-fraying edge is called the selvedge.
Textile Fabrics can be produced directly from webs of fibers by bonding, fusing or interlocking to make non-woven fabrics and felts, but their physical properties tend to restrict their potential end-usage.
Knitted fabrics are made up of single or multiple lengths of continuous yarn on a knitting machine or with knitting needles.

The yarns are inter-looped together. There are two types of knitted fabrics:
1-Weft-knitted          AND          2-Wrap-knitted

In warp knitting the yarn loops vertically up the fabric and the process uses many yarns rather then one. The fabric does not unravel or ladder. It is a industrial process only characteristics of warp knits. The production system is a fast  so the fabric are quick to make. It can be cut and sewn easily as it lies flat when cut.

It  is mainly used with synthetic filament yarns.
Woven fabrics are made by using two or more sets of yarn interfaced at right angles to each other .The can be easily cut into different shape and are excellent for producing styles in garments.

Blended fabrics is important to observe that production of staple yarn is not limited to composition form one kind to fiber the staple of two or more kinds of fiber may be combined for blended at different stages.

Embroidery on net;
The Water Soluble fabric is lapped over the net, on which the stitching is performed .Later the water soluble fabric is dissolved allowing the embroidery stiching and the net to remain. Multi-color embroidery produced by a special type of machine called color change machine. When enables the needles for different colors to work in turn.

1-Machine embroidery uses several basic stitch types that can be vqried and manipulated to produce a wide variety of effects.
A design must contain more than one stitch for design execution. Types of Embroidery stitch:
#-Steel Stitches
#-Blatt Stitches
#-Running Stitches
#-Chain Stitches
#-Chenille Stitches
#-Cooping Stitches
